Weekly photo challenge: Home

I’ve been looking around the house and checking out what angle I could shoot for the “Home” theme. But it just wouldn’t be right, because this house is not my home. Not yet, anyway. I don’t feel at home in it, although it’s getting better, and I’m getting used to it.

So the only photo I can publish for the home subject is  one from my photo archives, taken in my previous apartment, where I still feel my home is.

Yawning face

I’ve just recently got a trial version of Corel Painter, and since I finally had some time, I decided to test it. This is my first painting made with it. It’s speed painting, it’s more about the colours than the drawing. The brush strokes aren’t exactly as realistic as I want, but I’m mostly working on default settings. Any tips and comments will be appreciated.

Urban colours

Dublin is a very colourful place, with buildings painted in vibrant shades and people not being afraid of wearing some colour on them. I love it.

UPDATE 25/01/2011: Sorry guys, I had to change the place of the watermark of this one, as somebody took this photo, chopped off the bottom and put it on their commercial website (which not only is illegal and violates my intelectual property, but pissed me off big time). They were stupid enough to leave a pingback though.
