Somewhere on the way between the Cliffs of Moher and Galway.
Sketched at the famous Sweny’s pharmacy in Dublin.
Taken from a train in motion.
“George?” – “Yes, Bill?” – “We’re doomed anyway, you know”.
(Yes, I imagine conversations between things)
Stephen’s Green park in Dublin.
I was out of new photos and I didn’t want to post the worse ones, so I took a break. Now a weekend in Cork has resulted in a few acceptable shots, so there you go. I’m going to need to go there for a few days someday, wear better shoes and take more photos, I really liked the city.
My friend Margaret, taking a photo of a guy taking a photo. <3 the kitty bag.
If you’re getting bored with my beach shots, know that I’m going on a holiday in April, so the scenery might change a bit.
If you look carefully you’ll see a rainbow.
The only kind of weather by the sea. Either it’s windy or very windy, but never non-windy.
I’m not the only person who goes there to admire the view.
I was stalking this little flock today all along the coast.
A view on a bay in Malahide. A windy, moody weather.
As you probably noticed, I’ve been going through a rough phase recently. It’s been getting more and more difficult for me to get out of the house and take any new photos, or do any artistic activity except work related stuff.
My doctor told me to go for a walk at least twice a week, preferably every day, or just take a longer route when I’m going to a store or post office or anywhere for that matter. Normally I’d do that on my own, but I haven’t had enough energy recently.
I forced myself to go to watch the bay today, took a few snapshots, then I got cold and went back home after 40 minutes, but still I think it’s better than not going out at all. Not sure if I enjoyed it, but at least I have a sense of a tiny achievement.
Digital painting made in Photoshop. Tried to imitate dry pastels.
This is the last Dublin photo for now, because I’m going off on a holiday to Holland. Hopefully since tomorrow I will post a lot of beautiful photos from there. Now off to pack my camera.
The only photo I managed to shoot in Belfast yesterday. Next time I’ll have to go earlier and take some time to take more photos. I liked the city.
If you’re getting bored with Dublin photos, know that I’m going on a holiday to Holland quite soon and hopefully will bring back a lot of interesting shots.
The pipe band festival was almost over, the bands were waiting for the mayor to speak when three children decided to use the mayor’s podium to jump from. Repeatedly. No respect for pathos. None at all. Just like me <3
Went to a pipe band festival in Malahide yesterday.
Update: I’ll post more photos to my picasa album, (documentary type, not art type)
I revisited the lightship in Dublin Docklands last week to see if I could take more interesting photos than before.
A modern fountain in Dublin
Taken at a vintage car show in Malahide last weekend.
A beach in Malahide where I live.
A detail of a steam locomotive rolling into a platform. The guy was most likely checking if people were behind the line as they were supposed to. I was standing at the edge of the platform, away from most people, which allowed me to take some photos before the crowd poured before my camera. Everybody was so eager to see the steam train. Especially the kids.
Inside a steam locomotive. Very steampunk-ish ;)
Dublin Pearse Station.
I’m running out of new photos, and I can’t go photo shooting because I’m having problems with my foot and am not supposed to walk. Do you guys think it would be ok for me to post some older photos until I get better?
